WHAT MAKES A GOOD 4WD LED SPOTLIGHT – 5 Most important features to look for in LED Driving Lights

Website is back up and running!
well, a commecial as always…. main point is who really needs led spot lights! if you just want to iluminate your path from time to time a simple set of halogen spotlights are fine. I prefere the IPF halogen lights. LED you only need if you drive with running spotlights over hours.
Conclusion = the simple and cheap halogen is mostly the best solution for 90% of offroad vehicle owners
I got a set of 9 inch XTM spotties there pretty decent if anyone else reading this comment has a set of XTM spotties tell me your thoughts on the spotties and do u think there good

Come on matey.. when are you gonna do shipping to the U.K. 🇬🇧? Just went into your website to look at the price for these but you don’t ship 🚢 that’s racist that mate 🤣

I would argue that thinner cooling fins disipate the heat quicker.
You nearly hit a kangaroo
My cheap eBay light bar does the job cost $22 about 3 years ago and has never failed
What do I have to do to come wheeling g with you guys
Can we get into a little of the science behind having a quality light source of 5500K at night?
The short answer is that it has the best mix of light for good contrast between colours and has lot of the wavelengths that our eyes rod cells receive the best (they're what we use to see at night and why things appear in black and white when it's dark).
Also: high intensity blue light can overstimulate and burn your retina, the same way UV burns the skin, why you look away from a dazzling light.
Do these guys even know what kelvin is?

There's probably around $35-$40 of electronic components in spotties no matter what colour the bezel is as they're simple circuits a 10 year old could build & you really wouldn't use scientific or military grade components for the application. If they illuminate, are water & dust resistant & have good mountings you're probably getting as good as you're going to. Don't be too hung up on distance either, a light that allegedly illuminates 500m ahead will give you 20 seconds to react at highway speeds so unless you're asleep you'll be good with 300m or so 👍
Website is down at not working @4WD 24-7
At about 5:30 minutes in it looks like the person in the passenger seat is picking their nose in the reflection in the glass.
Or am I just seeing things😂
Fire your web designer 🙂

"LED Chips are manufactured on BIG BOARDS" 😂😂😂😂
Hopefully their lights are more reliable than their website…
Hi, I know this is just a paid add for that light company and because of that I will take what you say with a pinch of salt, however some good things to take onboard when buying new light's, thanks so much.
when are the new seasons coming here in the states love watching these shows
403- forbidden, guess teralume dont like me for a no reason which I absolutely have no clue.
Why not just put “review” in the title of this ad.
I love the info that you guys dish out. Cheers crew 👍
the best light is halogen . the cri of it shows more natural colours . led is getting better but its still crap compared to good halogen lights . Led may seem impressive with the volume of light they throw but anyone that`s driven with them for long stints knows they are straining and kelvin rating isnt an indication of brightness ! thats misleading , kelvin is a temperature rating and the real rating of light intensity is lux (not lumens which is relative to volume ) . Id`e really like to see these guys try some fyrlyt nemesis . not only aussie made but excellent light out put ( about the same as lightforce htx ) at a colour temp thats not straining on eyes and shows natural colours far better than led . Not too big 200mm i think and slightly adjustable from spread to spot . They are 250 watts but use a step up transformer on 12 volt vehicle to get 24 volts to the globe . They now come with glass lenses which dont fade or crack and spares are well priced and readily available . im not affiliated with them but i agree with their philosophy and they make a great product . Ask the thousands of long distance truckies in SA and WA what they prefer !
Love your shows
Most people dont need to spend a fortune on offroad lights. Most dont even wheel at night! Why pay $800 per light from ARB? My $200 per pair lights from Amazon have worked more then well enough for my needs. Maybe if I was running in the desert at night at high speeds, I would look into some of the more expensive options. Of all the places to spend money on your 4wd. I personally dont think spending a fortune on lights needed. Spend that money on lockers, gears or suspension.
HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT YELLOW TINT LIGHTS FOR OFFROADING??
Kelvin rating has nothing to do with brightness. But it definitely has an impact on reflection, i remember driving my brother's old car with 6000k HID globes, on a country road you could barely see, but the moment a road sign came up, it blinded you. Lower Kelvin ratings make it easier to see through rain and dust, because it doesn't reflect back as much. I actually prefer sub 5k lights as they're easier on the eyes.
Kings are deadset rubbish. 2 hilux, one fitted with kings and the other fitted with a $100 pair of lightfox.
No matter how we adjusted the kings they were just drowned out by the dirt cheap lightfox.
Actually, Staino does rust, it's designed not to rust as quickly as other materials do. Other than what people have said before me here below, interesting video, Cheers.
Saludos desde Chile…
So, when talking about the reflectors, how do we pick a good one? Just ones that don't widen too much?
