Really Good and thank you for sharing your knowledge.
When grouping by date, is there any way to group by financial year (I.e. april-march)?
Thank you so much for taking the time to make such an orderly presentation, complete with Contents list and downloadable worksheet. I worked along with you and learned so many things about Excel I never knew– in addition to pivot tables. Your voice is clear, well-paced, and easy to understand: you are a gifted instructor.
I think this video is ridiculous, it says it has a place to download the excel file, clicking it does nothing but takes you to the same spot. sham.

Wow,
Great video but I was unable to watch it completely. I can not listen to people that finish every other sentence with "ok", "right" , "umm" or any other filler word.
Hi, dear would you please tell me, how I can get reports according to days grouping.. example (Sunday till Friday) instead of no. of days
Thank you, that was helpful
Hi again, I hope you had great holidays,
I have an application that I must call a Userform and hide Excel Application, but if the user has another excel document, when the Userform is called all Excel documents will hide as well, that is why I began working with instances… sounds complicated but I found a way in mr excel, and I am trying to modify the following code and I cannot find where exactly I will include the code to open one instance of Excel if the workbooks belongs to my macro, but if is NOT then open a different instance
This code is located in Thisworkbook:
'Code extracted from:
'https://www.mrexcel.com/forum/excel-questions/483382-dont-allow-another-workbook-open-instance.html
Private WithEvents oAppEvents As Application
Private oWb As Workbook
Private Sub Workbook_Open()
Dim oNewApp As New Application
'This IF applies when there are more than one wbs and it will open the tracker
If Application.Workbooks.Count > 1 Then
Me.ChangeFileAccess xlReadOnly
oNewApp.Workbooks.Open Me.FullName
oNewApp.Visible = True
Me.Close False
End If
Set oAppEvents = Application
Application.VBE.MainWindow.Visible = True
Application.VBE.MainWindow.Visible = False
End Sub
Private Sub oAppEvents_NewWorkbook(ByVal Wb As Workbook)
Dim oNewApp As New Application
Wb.Close False
oNewApp.Workbooks.Add
oNewApp.Visible = True
End Sub
Private Sub oAppEvents_WorkbookOpen(ByVal Wb As Workbook)
If Wb Is Me Then Exit Sub
Set oWb = Wb
oWb.ChangeFileAccess xlReadOnly
Application.OnTime Now, Me.CodeName & ".CloseWB"
End Sub
Private Sub CloseWB()
Dim oNewApp As New Application
oNewApp.Workbooks.Open oWb.FullName
oNewApp.Visible = True
oWb.Close False
If IsUserFormLoaded("UserInterface") Then
Application.Visible = False
End If
End Sub
Hi, I like your videos a lot, I have developed several Projects taking as a model some of your videos….
I currently involved in a big project and I want to know if it is possible to open one instance of Excel if the workbooks belongs to my macro, but if is NOT then open a different instance…. in another words it is like I have two independent Excels:
One for my macro (it allows only the files that I open using my macro), and the…
Second Excel only for the workbooks I try manually open that do not belongs to my macro.Any comment I will really appreciate… Sorry but this one is the only way I found to ask you this concern.
Thank you very much for this video, I learned a ton. I have one question for now though.
My data consists of fishing results. Categories for Woman, Men and Kids. Then Fish species and weight of the biggest caught.
Short version: How can i stop my top 10 pivot table from showing more than 10 when there are 0 values.
Long version:
I used the Slicer to show results for the top 10 biggest caugt. whick works fine. but when i slice only woman there on specie A there were only 3 woman who caught specie A, then it lists the rest of the womans names in the Top 10 Pivot table as Zero, so all the woman that did not catch that specie is in the pivot table. when I filter out the 0 it works, but the moment I refresh or use diffent slicers the pivot table went from Top 10 filter to dont show zeroes and i have to rest it to Top 10.
Awesome, interested in taking whole course, very user friendly
Thank you very much for this. Clear, logical, useful. It helps a lot.
Excellent tutorial. Thank you!!
Salute YOU SIR, For the excellent teachings. thanks a lot
